Years ago, during an interview on directing for film, Steven Spielberg said, “In order to make a film like Schindler’s List, you first have to make a film like Jaws.” Maybe its, “To the victor goes the spoils”, a quote attributed to New York State Senator William Learned March, referring to the victory of the Jackson Democrats in the election of 1828. It is said that the actual phrase was, “to the victor belong the spoils.” Regardless, and putting both semantics and politics aside, Mr. Spielberg and crew were spotted in both St. Barth’s and St. Maarten on the director’s $200 million, 282-foot, Dutch-built Seven Seas megayacht. Among the many features on board are an infinity pool with a 15-foot glass wall that doubles as a movie screen enabling those poolside, or in it, to watch feature films.

The Seven Seas has accommodations for 12 guests and 26 in crew. The Oceanco-built beauty also has a helipad, fully equipped gym, spa and massage room, and another indoor cinema room. Perhaps a more suitable quote would be from Mel Brooks: “It’s good to be the king.”
