Hakvoort Yachts Upgrades Superyacht Facilities

Dutch yacht builder Hakvoort Yachts, known for their intimate luxury yachts and prowess in construction in aluminum and steel are slowly building larger vessels. Recently the Dutch family-owned yard Hakvoort announced an upgrade of its own facilities, which will enable it to deliver yachts of over 50-meters in Length Overall.

The stunningly beautiful, 147’6″ M/Y TRUST is a 2008 Hakvoort build

Hakvoort’s new slipway, which has a maximum lift of 1,000 tons, is now ready, enabling the yard to construct yachts of up to 58-meters in length and 11.50-meters in width. This follows its vertical expansion in 2009 when the roof of the yard’s main shed was raised to allow for the construction of four-deck yachts. The new 55-meter yacht will be the largest yacht built at the facility if it is commissioned. If commissioned the luxury yacht will be able to be delivered early in 2014 according to Moran Yacht & Ship. She appears to have accommodation for twelve guests in six staterooms with the Master forward on the main deck with private balconies on its port and starboard sides. The others, are doubles and twins on the lower deck. Other features include a helipad located on the aft part of the roof of the bridge. There is a jacuzzi on the aft end of the sun deck as well as on the deck below also towards the aft. Sunpads flank both jacuzzi pools. If commissioned, this vessel will not only become the largest for Hakvoort but also their most stylish.
