The 2015 Cannes Yacht Festival features 140 new models including the Benetti 125 Fast Displacement Yacht

There is something about being in the Med, in the South of France, in September. The weather is as good as it gets and for those of us in the yachting business, and akin to the popularity of the annual film festival held here, well there is the International Cannes Yacht show.

This year’s presentation, from September 8 – 13,  will offer no less than 140 new yachts from builders all over the world. And besides the many Italian yachts scheduled to be in attendance, Benetti will be showcasing the latest addition to its fast displacement hull fleet, the Vivace 125.

The Benetti Vivace 125 fast displacement yacht is an elegant statement from this noted builder.

Vivace 125′  joins the flagship Class Fast Displacement line, Veloce 140’, and takes inspiration from its forerunners construction technology, stylistic features, and spatial layout.

The bow area can be configured in a number of ways including this spa/hot tub set up.

The Benetti Vivace 125’ is a composite and carbon construction yacht built at the Viareggio boatyard; it is a 125ft/38.10m by 27+ft/8.30m semi-wide body with three decks plus a sun deck. Much like its bigger sister, the Veloce 140, Stefano Righini has designed the F-125′ with a sporty exterior employing generous amounts of horizontal windows to accentuate the sleek lines. Its hallmark is a large central design element at the sides enclosing the upper deck stair.

The interior layout includes 4 suites for 8 guests with the owner’s full beam quarters forward on the main deck. Whether she is used for charter service or private use, the captain plus a crew of 7 will be available to see to all the needs of the guests.

The grand master suite offers the owners an environment that is both artistic and elegant.

Thanks to an exclusive agreement, the Vivace 125′ is equipped with an innovative series of carbon Azipull 65C azipod transmissions expressly designed by Rolls-Royce for Benetti. The D2P Displacement Planing^® hull, equipped with wave piercer, was perfected by Benetti technicians for the Rolls-Royce propulsion pod by optimizing all the stern tunnel thrusters and those elements impacting hydrodynamics. The result is an even greater improvement of the already enhanced propulsion efficiency of the pod drives.

The D2P^® hull with wave piercer enables the new Fast Displacement series to reach higher speeds without engine strain, or to cruise in displacement mode at an economical speed with a much greater range.

VICA, at 50m/164ft, is a yacht built with a fiberglass hull and an aluminum superstructure.

FN264, as yet unnamed, comes in at 63.5m/208ft and is constructed of aluminum and steel. Meant to be the owners’ home at sea, she is an intimate vessel tailor made for comfort and luxury.

The famed Italian superyacht builder launches the third vessel in its Classic Supreme Series

In the world of luxury boat building, the name Benetti carries a certain cache with it that resounds with elegance born of a high level of expertise and pride of craftsmanship. And no wonder. The yard has been in continued service since its founding in 1873 by Lorenzo Benettii, making it one of the oldest builders in the world.

Elegance and strength are both defined by Benetti in this third launching of the Classic Supreme Series of megayachts.

The third Benetti Classic Supreme 132 (Hull# BS003) was launched in February 2013 in a grand ceremony that included all those who were involved in her build and outfitting including the yard’s technicians, workers, and staff. Arcon Yachts also collaborated on the production of this 40-metre yacht, which will be delivered in April 2014. It is the third Benetti Classic Supreme 132 in less than two years; BS003 is part of the Benetti “Class Range”, line of composite displacement yachts from 93 to 145 feet.

The Classic Supreme 132 – BS003 picks up on all the line’s typical features and adds truly unique touches like its “classic-modern” interiors. Ensuring design continuity, the exteriors of this new jewel of Italian style and technology are by Stefano Righini, with interiors by François Zuretti.

Classic Supreme 132 is 131+ft/40.20m long and 26+ft/8.18m wide; it can accommodate 10 guests in 5 cabins, plus room for the crew. It is equipped with two MTU 12V2000 M72 (1080 kW)@2.250 rpm motors enabling it to reach maximum speeds of 15.5 knots.
