GOST™ Nav-Tracker GPS Tracking System Tracking the Progress of Norwegian Entry Samson In 26th Atlantic Rally For Cruisers

Samson

AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS – GOST™ (Global Ocean Security Technologies – formerly Paradox Marine) Europe has supplied a GOST Nav-Tracker Inmarsat Satellite based GPS tracking system to monitor the progress of Samson, a Lagoon 400, the Norwegian entry in the 26th Atlantic Rally For Cruisers, captained by Jens Fjelnset. The fleet of 217 boats and 1,188 people left Palmas de Gran Canaria on November 20, bound for Saint Lucia.

The progress of Samson can be viewed on the GOST Europe web site at
gosteurope.com/world-arc-boat-tracking.htm

“GOST Europe is excited about our relationship with Jens Fjelnset as we track him in the ARC Rally and then as he continues to captain Samson on a two-year circumnavigation,” said GOST Europe President & CEO Mado van der Kamp. “It is a really great opportunity to demonstrate the reliability and effectiveness of our GOST Nav-Tracker GPS Tracking System and what sets our systems apart from the other trackers available in the market,” van der Kamp added.

GOST Nav-Tracker

GOST Nav-Tracker can be used to track a vessel (or an entire fleet of vessels) from anywhere in the world on GOST’s New 4th Generation Tracking website. A vessels precise voyage tracking history and exact current location can be viewed & controlled on the website and as new reports come in from the Nav-Tracker, they are automatically updated to the site.

When a Nav-Tracker transmitter is mounted on a vessel and armed, a wireless ‘geo-fence’ with a 500-meter radius is created. If a boat is moved outside of this fence, Nav-Tracker uses Inmarsat based GPS satellite technology to monitor a boat’s location and notify up to ten people by email and/or text message every 2 minutes with the exact latitude/longitude, speed and heading of the vessel.
